New York City Housing Preservation and Development (HPD) and Housing Development Fund Corporation (HDFC) (2000)

  • Wrote a grant that raised $1.2 million from the city for a joint venture between a Bronx-based nonprofit organization and a Bronx-based real estate firm. They created the joint venture to run a tenant training program to teach low-income tenants how to manage their own multi-unit buildings.  The proposed outcome is to convert the apartment buildings into cooperatives.
